baby beat poetry

I am a baby

I am a small dictator

You will come when I call

You will jump when I say jump

You will cry when I cry…

And you will love it.

I am small but powerful

I am soft but strong

My muscles are undeveloped

But my reign is irresistible

You will do my bidding…

And you will love it.

You are lucky for now

because I love you too

And I need you to transport me from perch to perch

Because these rolled knees are yet weak

But remember

One day I will be tall

I will speak

You will hear my voice

And you will hear me say

"Why did you make me wear those amber teething beads and make me look like I was following Phish?  Not cool, man.  Not cool."
